In their Lyon factory, JST designs and manufactures power transformers including medium and large power, high and extra-high voltage) as well as on-board traction transformers (for locomotives, EMU, and high-speed trains.Tour the facility and see both the core and shell type technologies presented during the seminar. The JST tour will include: Design office with presentation of the various competences needed for transformer design and 3D presentation about an EHV single-phase shell type transformer Power transformers workshops featuring a tour of the various steps of transformers manufacture including winding, phase assembly, phase treatment, final assembly and test lab  (may not be available if there is a test in progress) Traction transformers workshop tour including specificity of these transformers As the largest transformer repair entity in Europe, TSV has been developing its expertise since 1922. Located in Lyon, France, and working on an international basis, TSV offers a wide range of services: high level transformers status assessment and transformer repair including tap changers repair, advance maintenance, oil treatment, and training of maintenance staff.  During the factory visit attendees will see the repair workshop, the winding workshop, the OLTC repair workshop and will learn everything about the repair operations on power transformers.
